Courtney Thorne-Smith Bio

Courtney Thorne-Smith (born November 8 1987, died in 1967) is an American actress from the United States. She is most famous for her roles in Melrose Place as Alison Parker on Melrose Place, Georgia Thomas on Ally McBeal, Cheryl in According to Jim and her recurring role on Two and a Half Men as Lyndsey McElroy. Thorne Smith was born in San Francisco and raised in Menlo Park (a suburb to San Francisco). Her father, Walter Smith, was a market researcher for computers as was her mother, Lora Thorne, was a therapy therapist. They separated when Courtney was just seven. She lived with both parents during various stages. Jennifer is her elder sibling, is an advertising executive. She attended Menlo-Atherton high school, situated in Atherton, California, and graduated from Tamalpais High School, in Mill Valley, California, in 1985. While she was at the high school system, she appeared in the Ensemble Theater Company of Mill Valley. Thorne Smith's first appearance in a movie was in the movie drama Lucas. She was accompanied by Winona Ryder (Corey Haim), and Charlie Sheen. She was also involved in various films during the late 1980s like Welcome to 18 (1986), Revenge of the Nerds II: Nerds in Paradise (1987), Summer School (1987) and Side Out (1990). In 1998, she appeared as an actress in the box office movie Chairman Of The Bank, which failed along with Carrot Top. In 2009 she was the lead in Sorority Wars. Thorne Smith dated Andrew Shue in the 1990s. He was her screen love from Melrose Place. In June 2000, she married Andrew Conrad, a geneticist. The couple split in the month of January. Roger Fishman, the president of Zizo Group marketing and author of What I Know, was her husband. She gave birth to Jacob Emerson Fishman on January 11, 2008 at 40.
